Tantus Rumble Dorado Head Review

Tantus Rumble Dorado Head

You already know that Tantus is a company particularly close to my heart. What they create is almost always pure genius, and they’re a great role-model of responsible business practices for the whole adult industry. Oh, and they’re cute as f*ck. They’ve just sent me this Christmas card.

As a person who’s not particularly able-bodied, with many chronic diseases that result in pain in my limbs, shoulders and back, I was extremely happy when Tantus launched the Rumble, their ultra light vibrator. Rumble is also gender-neutral and inclusive. It’s for all bodies, all sizes, all shapes, all genders, all expressions, all orientations. I’ve already reviewed the Rumble, so I am not going to talk much about the vibrator itself, but one of its attachments that I’ve come to like a lot.

Rumble Dorado HeadOne of the huge advantages of the Rumble is the fact that it comes with interchangeable heads that you can buy separately. You might wander how this is different from using an attachment on a Magic Wand or Doxy Die Cast. On Rumble, even the smooth “main” head is an attachment. You remove it, and then place the attachment you want, instead of putting it over the original head. This way the attachment fits better, everything is 100% hygienic and sanitizable (because all of the heads are made of matte smooth silicone), and there are no weird noises or problems with transmitting the vibration well. Have you ever tried a Magic Wand attachment that doesn’t fit well? All the excessive sounds and all that buzzing and flapping around, ugh!

The Dorado Head might look familiar, and that’s because it’s similar to a Magic Wand attachment, called Flutter Tip. While many people complain that the buzziness and the power of the Magic Wand make the Flutter Tip unbearable, the Dorado head works on the Rumble in a simply delicious way.

The only way I can describe the Dorado Head is: oral sex performed on you by a cool robot with a vibrating tongue. No joking! Seriously, it feels like a tongue caressing you, but one that also vibrates. It’s spectacular! And it’s good not just for clits, you guys! As with everything else about the Rumble, it can be used by everybody. Body parts that love the Dorado Head vary from clits, vulvas, trans men’s dicks, and penile frenula (the plural of frenulum, yes, I am that geek), to nipples, balls, perineums and ass holes. I swear to god, butts love the Dorado head, it feels like anilingus (more commonly known in the popular culture as rimming)!

Adding plenty of lube on the area where you’re going to use the Dorado Head makes the sensation even more “oral-sex-like” and its’ much more enjoyable. It almost starts resembling saliva and the flickering fin of the Dorado turns into an even more realistic tongue.

It’s also great for people who are very sensitive to touch, particularly on their clits, because the Dorado is a very gentle and sensual attachment. Also, if you don’t to change attachments, Dorado still has several ridges that are similar to the original Rumble head, so you can alternate between the little fin of the Dorado, or the more broad and substantial edges and sides of the head.

And once you are done with it, just remove the attachment, wash it with soap and water, boil it, or bleach it, and you’re done! If you want to read my full review of the Tantus Rumble vibrator, go here.

It costs $24, and it’s sold separately from The Rumble.

Often Tantus toys are on sale and if you want to get you G-Force on some awesome deal, check regularly my SALES page.

Hot Octopuss Pulse III Duo Review

Hot Octopuss Pulse III Duo

I’ve been dreaming of the day I’d get to review the Pulse by Hot Octopuss. When I started my blog, I had just come back from Woodhull SFS16. I remember Erin Basler (a sex educator and disability advocate) mentioning what a great toy it was, not just in general, but for people with mobility issues, for folks with erectile dysfunction and many others. The Pulse II Solo or Duo used to be on my wishlist for many months. I used to imagine the great pleasure it could bring my partner… I wanted to use it in a BDSM dynamic. I wanted to use it for forced orgasm. I wanted to have him blindfolded and tied up, to tease him, to caress him and then pop the toy onto his hard cock and make him completely mine. Unable to fight orgasm. Orrr something of that sort. Did I drift away? You have to forgive me…

Then the joyous day finally arrived! Hot Octopuss asked me to review their newest model, the Pulse III Duo. Lucky me! I was trembling with anticipation. I opened the stylish box with the British flag on it (Hot Octopuss is a British brand), took the toy in my hands… and my heart sank. As much as the toy features flexible wings able to expand and fit different penis sizes, there’s a crescent at the bottom of the toy that’s completely molded and fixed, making the toy only compatible with penises with diameter of 1.4″ and less. I knew that my partner’s dick couldn’t remotely fit in the Pulse. I had to go back and remember the ghosts of past penises (these days I am much more into girls, so the rest of the penises I’ve played with date way back). Reminiscing on the past didn’t help much either. A good third of the penises I could remember wouldn’t be able to fit in the Pulse — I think. This came as a huge surprise to me, because I’ve read a number of other reviews of the toy, and no other blogger, reviewer or sex educator had mentioned that this toy has severe limitations when it comes to the girth it can accommodate.

I’m guessing that probably more than half of the penises in the world will be able to fit in the toy and experience great pleasure with it — but no statistics here to back this up. So I can’t recommend the toy to anyone who thinks they’re on the larger end of the scale without seeing the product in real life, at a brick and mortar, and judging for themselves.

But if there’s a will, there’s a way…

With plenty of lube, weird sideways positions, and maneuvering we managed to somehow use the toy. And I am more than happy to report that WE LOVED IT.

But first things first, what is Pulse?

Hot Octopuss Pulse III Duo ReviewPulse is a guybrator. It’s an external penis “sleeve” that vibrates. It doesn’t simply vibrate, but it oscillates, creating a much deeper, rumblier sensation. This technology was developed to help people with spinal injury achieve orgasm and experience pleasure. And it works beyond “great”. It’s a state of the art sex toy that has me drooling every time I see it. Finally a high tech, super cool, powerful and sophisticated penis toy that goes beyond tacky TPE penis sleeves.

The toy goes around the penis and since it has flexible wings, it can stay in place and give hands free pleasure (when the penis is erect). It can be used with or without lubricant for two different sensations. Without lube the toy will stay static, and the penis can enjoy the said hands-free pleasure; while lubricated it can be used as a vibrating stroker.

It’s made of silicone and ABS plastic, weighs 220 g or 7.76 oz, and it is entirely waterproof, rechargeable and features 6 preset vibration modes, as well as turbo mode. The “on” and “off” button is really easily distinguishable from the power up and down controls as they’re on separate parts of the toy. Accessing the turbo mode can be achieved by holding the “+” button for more than 1 sec (though pressing it can be a little tricky if the penis is already inside).

What is it good for?

Hot Octopuss Pulse III Duo ReviewThe Pulse III is good for practically everybody with a penis (and anyone who has a partner with a penis). It’s not just a masturbation device, but it can be used in various partnered scenarios (read some ideas a few paragraphs down).

This is also a great toy for anyone with disabilities. Anything from mobility and grip issues, to spinal injury and ED. Pulse can be used without an erection and can make even a flaccid penis ejaculate and experience pleasure. Yes, if you thought dicks are no good if they’re soft, think again! Penises can have pleasure with our without a hard on!

Another great realm of possibilities is for folks with sexual side effects from antidepressants. Many people (yes, men too!) experience anorgasmia as a result of antidepressant treatments and other medications. These side effects make it rather difficult to reach the point of no return. It often feels like the orgasm is so close but yet beyond reach. This can be extremely frustrating for both parties. Not only for the penis owner, but it can make the partner feel inadequate, unattractive or incapable of satisfying others. Using vibration can help a great deal, such as with small wands like the Tantus Rumble or the Mystic Wand Rechargeable. But the Pulse takes everything to another level.

Differences between Pulse II and Pulse III

Most stores still stock the older version, Pulse II, which sells for around $10 less than Pulse III. If you can afford it, I would recommend you get the III over the II, because the III uses a magnetic charger and is completely waterproof. Which does matter immensely for this toy because the entire inner part (and often the outside of it) gets all lubed up, not to mention possibly having ejaculate all over the toy! So being fully waterproof is pretty essential for cleaning up the Pulse. (Yes, the toy is not porous, but given how many ridges and grooves it has, lube easily gets stuck in places that are really hard to clean.)

When it comes to the Pulse II Duo vs. Pulse III Duo, there’s even more improvement. The outer motor of the toy, the one designed for the partner’s pleasure (see next section), is 25% more powerful. Again, the difference between the two is around $10, which is a small price to pay for waterproofness and more power.

Differences between Pulse III Solo and Pulse III Duo

Hot Octopuss Pulse 3 ReviewI know this review got a little confusing. The numbers II or III refer to the version of the toy; Solo or Duo refer to a key feature that differs between the two. Solo (II or III) is only a guybrator, meaning that it only vibrates on the inside, for the satisfaction of the penis. The Duo on the other hand (II or III) has one additional motor on the outside for the pleasure of the partner that’s not using it primarily. The “couple” function that the Duo has works for hetero, as well as gay couples. As long as your partner likes vibration, they can grind on the outside of the toy, while the first person is using the toy in their penis. This additional option is controlled by a remote control (which is also waterproof). The external motor has 3 power levels that are rumbly and broad, but not extremely powerful. The price difference between Solo and Duo is around $40 in each of the versions.

Enjoying it together

I am a strong believer that pretty much any toy is a couple’s toy. As long as you’re using it together with your partner, it’s a partnered toy. I think that any solo toy can be turned into a fun tool for your together time — sharing the experience is what counts. This is why I think even the Solo version is a great toy to be enjoyed with a partner. As I mentioned, you can use it in a BDSM scenario, you can simply hold the toy and stroke it for your partner, you can give them a blowjob while they’re using the toy (since the head of the penis is still mainly outside of the toy), or you can play with their balls or their ass… You can be 69-ing, they can be fingering you while enjoying the toy… The possibilities are endless.

Stepping into someone else’s shoes

I’m a strong believer of equality in pleasure. I’m a strong advocate for fixing the orgasm gap (the % of women who’ve experienced orgasm during their last partnered sex is far smaller than the % of men who’ve experienced orgasm during their last partnered sex). But to be fair, I also acknowledge that penis-owners don’t have as many choices when it came to toys. And that’s  unfair. Men can feel threatened by the numerous toys options a vulva-owner has. They may even feel like they can be replaced by a sex toy. This is why I think everyone should have a toy — better still, toys. Added benefit: guys can step into women’s shoes and finally get it: toys don’t replace partners, they enhance partnered time! Bottom line, penis-owners deserve pleasure and good choices too.

Things to consider

It’s worth mentioning that the Pulse III can feel a little obtrusive and weird for some users. It’s a very different sensation from that of other soft and squishy strokers. The Hot Octopuss Pulse is made of silicone and hard plastic, which can feel rigid and constraining for some penis-owners. Or at least it can take a little time getting used to it.

Things that can be improved in the future

I need to mention that the toy is a little loud, but from what I know from other reviewers, this is by far the quietest model. So I guess there’s only so much that can be done with this much power.

But as I said, what really troubles me is the size. The toy just doesn’t seem to fit in any possible way a penis with a girth greater than 1.4″, and even 1.3″ would barely be a good fit. The Pulse would greatly benefit from having editions in regular (the current) and large size(s). Or maybe even three sizes. After all, condoms come in 3 different sizes, at least, and they’re flexible.

Final Thoughts

Hot Octopuss Pulse III Duo ReviewThis multiple award-winning toy remains one of my best recommendations as a gift for penis-owners. It’s the Rolls Royce of penis toys. Even its Solo version brings so much joy and new sensations to the bedroom. It’s an absolute necessity for any man struggling with ED, anorgasmia, or any mobility issue, caused by aging, accidents or trauma. It’s also the ultimate masturbation tool that doesn’t assume the sexual orientation of the user, that doesn’t resemble any genitalia, orifice, or a sexual act performed with partner. It’s an entire new world of pleasure than any penis owner deserves to experience.

If you are able to spare the money and want to have more options for mutual pleasure derived from the toy, you can go for the Duo version that sells for $149. But the Solo version, priced at $109 will be great for most people. Remember, partnered fun depends on your imagination!

You can get the Pulse III Solo from Hot Octopuss, or you can enjoy free shipping from Good Vibrations or Shevibe.

Gift-Giving Guide: What to Get Your Partner if They Have a Penis?

Gift-Giving Guide Penis Toys

In the few days leading up to one of America’s biggest holidays: Black Friday, the phenomenon that draws everybody to their electronics right after they’re done with (or sometimes while) overeating turkey and candied yams, I am going to release a couple of gift-giving guides for everybody. There are in fact some amazing sex toy sales coming our way. And sometimes the choices can be overwhelming. Other times, we can get tricked into buying cheap and useless crap, especially if the particular sex toy shop we’re purchasing from is selling porous toys as well. Often jelly, rubber, TPR and TPE toys can be purchased literally for a couple of bucks, but I will try to give you a few body-safe suggestions regardless of your budget. A lot of these you will be able to purchase with huge discounts, so stay tuned and refresh my BLACK FRIDAY SALES PAGE often in the next few days.

This particular guide is going to feature toys you can buy for your partner, if they have a penis. I currently don’t have a whole lot penis or prostate toy reviews, so I wanted to make things right. If you have a partner who has a vulva, you might wanna check out vol 2 of this guide: Gift-Giving Guide: What to Get Your Partner if They Have a Vulva?

Each category starts with the cheapest toys. Note that these are retail prices and don’t include any Black Friday discounts, or any of the discounts my coupon codes give you. Gift-Giving Guide Penis Toys

Note: Why am I using “penis” and “penis-owners” instead of men, guys, boyfriend or dudes. Because not all people who have penises identify as “male” and I want to focus on the equipment we have, instead of our gender identities. So yes, if you do happen to have a boyfriend or a husband, who’s cis-gender (their assigned sex at birth matches their gender identity: born with penis, identifies as “male”) that’s the right guide for you. If you have a trans pre-op girlfriend, a lot of these are going to work for you as well. I am also going to try make this guide as non-hetero normative as possible. Yes, dildos are not just for vaginas, they can go in butts too! (Even if you’re not gay!)

The mainstream media is often trying to convey that “porn is for guys and sex toys are for gals”. They brainwash us that the sex toy industry only caters to those with vulvas. That is not only completely false, but you will get surprised by how many choices there are when it comes to toys designed for penis-owners. Hell, some of the coolest new toys this year were ones that go on dicks! (Woot-woot Hot Octopuss!)

Strokers

The world of penis strokers, sleeves, or masturbators is immense. The shapes and the designs have evolved greatly too. Open-ended sleeves, or ones that look like a cup, taco-like strokers, vibrating or non-vibrating. Their price-range starts at less than $10 and goes all the way to around $150 for the most sophisticated ones. Don’t forget to always use lube with all of these!

1. Tenga Eggs for $6.99 from Shevibe. These are the best stocking fillers ever. They can be a fun prank, or a really good gateway drug into the world of penis strokers. They’re small, but extremely stretchy. They’re porous and are recommended for one use only. You can definitely squeeze a couple of uses out of each one, if you clean it thoroughly, but bear in mind that you’d better toss it away after a couple of play sessions. They come in a huge variety of textures and patterns on the inside, and each of them gives a slightly different sensation. You can cut off the top of the egg and turn it into an open-ended sleeve and combine stroking with it with a blow job on the head of the penis. They’re also a great travel-friend, since you can just toss them away after you’re done with them.
2. Tenga Cup for $9.99 from Shevibe. This is another disposable one-use only toy by Tenga. It’s much deeper and bigger, and comes with a suction for a much more realistic sensation. It comes in a hard case, which makes it completely unwashable and non-reusable once you ejaculate in it, but it’s another good novelty and perfect travel companion, if you don’t wanna travel with your more valuable and fragile toys.
3. Truskyn The Tru Stroke Beaded or Ribbed for $19 from Peepshowtoys. This is the cheapest silicone stroker you are going to find. I’ve just reviewed the Tru Stroke Beaded and I am so happy to report that there’s a decent, affordable silicone penis toy that even comes in two variations: beaded or ribbed. It’s open-ended and open-seam design allows it to accommodate penises of different sizes, and you can control the sensation just by adjusting your grip. A great toy to combine with blow jobs and teasing.
4. Vibrating masturbator by Rocks Off for $29.99 from Shevibe. This one is made of body-safe silicone and ABS plastic and comes with the RO-80mm Bullet vibrator. Which means you can take out the bullet and use it on other body parts. This one is a great deal for a battery-operated toy.
5. Fleshlight Quick Shot for $34.95 from Fleshlight. A short, open-ended and less aversive and misogynistic option from Fleshlight. This is also a good one to combine with oral sex.
6. Tenga 3D sleeves for $39.99 from Shevibe. These are simply a reusable and more sophisticated version of the Tenga 3D eggs.
7. Fleshlight Flight for $49.95 from Fleshlight. A full size stroker from Fleshlight, that doesn’t end with something that resembles female genitalia, mouth or an ass. And is a little cheaper than the “Fleshlight Girls“.
8. Rocks Off Rise Rechargeable for $69.99 from Peepshowtoys. This is the rechargeable multi-speed version of our #3. This one will give you hours of playtime on a single charge, and has a couple of vibration patters.
9. Tenga Flip Zero for $99.00 from Good Vibrations. One of the stars of the show, and without a doubt one of the most sophisticated strokers on the market. The internal part is extremely complex and provides rich sensations, one can control the grip and the tightness, as well as a suction mode. And it’s a breeze to clean, since it opens up and can even dry out standing on its own external case.

10. Hot Octopuss Pulse II Solo for $99 from Good Vibrations. If you want to splurge this toy has received some of the most rave reviews and has a really unique technology. It’s a vibrating masturbator that features penile vibrations and oscillations. It also look pretty damn cool.

Penis Toys and Male Toys

Cock Rings

Cock Rings are super fun to use. The choices are mind-blowing. Single or double, vibrating or non-vibrating, stretchy or not, silicone or metal. In the following round up I’ve only featured silicone cock rings, because they’re easier to use. Metal or wooded rings are for far more advanced users, because they’re completely stiff. Cock rings help you keep the blood in your penis and make your erection harder, longer lasting and bigger. Have you always wanted that veiny big cock that looks like it’s about to blow up? Cock rings are your solution. They can have only one strap and if they’re smaller, they can go only around the penis, while bigger single rings can be stretched around the balls and the cock at once. Always place these when the penis is still flaccid. Vibrating cock rings can be equally pleasurable for both parties. Stick to positions that allow you to have the vibrating bullet on the clitoris: cowgirl or missionary work great.Cock Rings

1. Tantus Super Soft C-Ring for $10.99 from Tantus. A super simple silicone ring that can be stretched around the penis and the balls. Beginners friendly.
2. Optimale Thick Silicone Cock Ring for $12 from Peepshowtoys. This one is pretty similar to the Tantus C-ring.
3. Fifty Shades of Grey Adjustable Cock Ring $14.99 from Lovehoney. Adjustable silicone rings are a great solution to beginners or shopping online, since they can be customized and tightened up much more easily. They can also be pulled out right away, even with a hard-on, while most of the others can only be taken off after you lose your erection.
4. Set of 3 Optimale Thick Silicone Cock Rings for $22 from Peepshowtoys. A set of different sizes is great for beginners, since it’s always recommended to start off with something bigger and more flexible and maybe move to a smaller ring once you’re used to placing it and taking it off.
5. Optimale Vibrating Cock Ring for $25 from Peepshowtoys. This battery-operated single ring comes are a really good price. It has several vibration modes and speeds and it’s pretty easy to operate.
6. Tantus C-Sling for $34.64 from Tantus. This sling-style cock ring applies pressure on the perineum. While fucking, it’s going to rock back and forth and massage the prostate on the outside.
7. Optimale Vibrating Double Cock Ring for $35 from Peepshowtoys. This is a double cock ring – one of the rings goes around the penis, while the bigger ring goes around the balls. One of the bullets is placed on the perineum, for prostate stimulation, and the other one is great for clitoral stimulation. Each of the bullets is battery operated, can be removed and has multiple speeds. Read my full review here.
8. Tantus Vibrating Super Soft C-Ring for $39.90 from Tantus
9. Tenga Smart Vibe Ring for $79.99 from Shevibe. If you know that you like cock rings and are ready to invest into a stronger, rechargeable and higher quality ring.
10. Je Joue Mio Rechargeable Cock Ring for $109 from Good Vibrations.

Vibrators

Tantus Rumble and Mystic Wand Rechargeable

Vibrations can feel amazing when applied externally on the shaft of the penis, on the frenulum and the head, or on the balls and the perineum! One can use an smaller (or big!) wand-stile vibrator on the scrotum while performing a blow job, or a hand job. A lot of men love masturbating with these: simply hold the vibe against your balls while you’re stroking yourself. Something great about this category is that all of these vibes can be shared by both partners! And as you will see from the next category, these can be repurposed and made even more versatile with the help of good attachments.

1. Shibari Halo Wand for $54.99 from Shevibe. This one is rechargeable, water-proof and body safe. What else can one need from a wand? Only downside is that the Magic Wand attachments won’t fit on this one.
2. Magic Wand Original (aka Hitachi) for $59.95 from Good Vibrations. This one is an icon. If you are looking for maximum power and don’t mind the cord, go for it. Its only downsides are the porous head of the toy and the only two speeds that might be too overwhelming for some folks. Fits all Magic Wand attachments.
3. BMS PalmPower Wand Massager for $69 from Peepshowtoys. Another body-safe option with a removable silicone head. It even has a rechargeable version for the same price! You can purchase additional attachments for this one, but your Magic Wand attachments won’t fit. Another body-safe option with a removable silicone head. It even has a rechargeable version for the same price! You can purchase additional attachments for this one, but your Magic Wand attachments won’t fit.
4. Jimmyjane Iconic Wand for $74.99 form Shevibe. This multi-speed, waterproof rechargeable wand is a top pick of many. Again the Magic Wand attachments won’t fit on it though.
5. Mystic Wand Rechargeable for $95.95 from Good Vibrations. As I mention in my review of this wand, it’s less powerful than the Magic Wand Original, but that’s what makes a some penis-owners like it. It’s smaller and lighter, easier to hold and it’s not as overwhelming. It’s rechargeable, but if you run out of battery, you can use it plugged in the cord. It’s really sleek and pretty. No attachments.

6. Lovehoney Desire Wand for $99 from Lovehoney. Silicone, multi-speed and rechargeable. Not compatible with Magic Wand attachments.
7. Sola Egg Massager Wellness Set for $109.99 from Shevibe. I’ve reviewed the Passion Set version of this set, that just comes with different silicone attachments included. I think the Wellness Set might be a better option for penis-owners, since they can’t really benefit much with the Bunni and Omi attachments of the other one. What’s the Sola Egg Massager: it’s a super small, handheld cordless wand with removable silicone head. Magic Wand attachments fit great on it and it’s just fantastic for penises when combined with the Hummingbird attachment (see next category).
8. Magic Wand Rechargeable for $124.95 from Peepshowtoys. What can I say? The updated cordless version of the Magic Wand Rechargeable is pretty awesome. The battery holds up to 4.5 hrs, the head is silicone, it has several speeds to fit everybody’s needs. And all of the attachments meant for the Magic Wand Original fit on it.
9.Tantus Rumble for $129.99 from Tantus. The Tantus Rumble is the first vibrator created with every body in mind. It’s a completely gender neutral vibrator, that is super hygienic, has a silicone head, that can be removed and properly cleaned. And it’s feather light! Magic Wand Attachments don’t really work with it, but Tantus sells attachments that fit Rumble. Read my full review here.
10. Doxy Die Cast for $189.99 from Shevibe. This one is simply the best and strongest wand on earth. Find out why.

Magic Wand Attachments

Something great about Doxy and the Magic Wand Original or Rechargeable is that they can be turned into so many other things. Just place one of the following attachments and enjoy your wand in a completely new way. Again: lube is mandatory!

1. The Hummingbird Masturbator Attachment for $23.99 from Shevibe. This is a masturbation sleeve that goes on top of your wand. It’s the best thing since sliced bread. It can make even a flaccid penis ejaculate, and it’s great for folks with ED, but even if you have no problem maintaining a full erection, this attachment is going to give you the sensation of a masturbation sleeve and the strong wand vibrations at once. Keep in mind that this attachment is porous, so you might wanna replace it after a couple of months.
2. The Pop Tops Silicone G-Spotter for $40 from Good Vibrations. This g-spot attachment can be used anally for prostate play.
3. The Vixen Gee Whiz Attachment for $56.99 from Shevibe. Another super cool silicone g-spot attachment that can take anal play into the next level.

Prostate Toys

Prostate toys are a great way to discover your prostate. Prostate massage is not only pleasurable, but also helps prevent prostate cancer. Oh, and did I mention that you can enjoy hands-free orgasms lasting minutes with most of these?

Prostate and Anal Toys

1. Nexus Glide Prostate Massager for $35.99 from Shevibe
2. Aneros Eupho Classic for $50 from Good Vibrations
3. Lelo Bob Prostate Massager for $59 from Shevibe
4. Rude-Boy Intense Vibrating Prostate Massager by Rocks-Off for $59.99 from Shevibe
5. Tantus Prostate Play Vibrating for $71.40 from Tantus
6. Njoy Pfun Plug for 89.90 from Peepshowtoys
7. Njoy Fun Wand for $95 from Peepshowtoys

8. Black Pearl Rechargeable Vibrating Prostate Massager by Vibratex for $104.95 from Shevibe.
9. Njoy Pure Wand for $110 from Peepshowtoys. The bigger side of this toy has been helping women and have g-spot orgasms for years, but it’s as notorious for it’s smaller end that’s just fab for prostate massage. Because of its long handle men can experiment with it solo, as well as with a partner.
10. Nexus Revo 2 Rotating Vibrating Prostate Massager for $149.99 from Shevibe. This is a really high-quality multi-speed rechargeable prostate toy that has rave reviews.

Anal Toys

These suggestions are great for virtually everybody, since we all have anuses, regardless of our sex. These are not necessarily aimed to the prostate, but rather allow you to enjoy different kind of anal sensations and pleasure.

Pegging Kits, Harnesses and Dildos

Luckily anal play is becoming less and less of a taboo. A number of hetero couples are dipping their toes into pegging: when the female partner uses a strap on to penetrate the male anally. Pegging can be super fun, but remember to always start small, be patient, communicate with your partner and use a lot of lube. Here are a couple of suggestions for harnesses, strap-on kits or dildos that are good for pegging.

Another way you can use harnesses in your sex life is for double penetration. #10 on the list is a double harness: your partner can have their penis outside, and use a dildo as well to double penetrate you vaginally and anally at the same time. So fun! Or you can use a double ended toy, such as #8 Share Vibe, and enjoy g-spot stimulation while penetrating him anally.

Sola Egg Massager Passion Set Review

dscn3006

If I were to describe the Sola Egg Massager in a few words it would be: a powerhouse in a palm-sized vibrator. I mean Magic Wand-like power.

Sola is a relatively new company in the sex toy industry and they’re known for their Sola Sync Wand vibrator and the Sola Egg Massager. They offer a few other vaginal or dual vibrators as well. Their focus is technology, innovation and body safety. I have to say that most of their designs intrigue me deeply because they’ve truly brought new things to the table: not your typical wand vibrator, and definitely not your usual small clitoral vibe. They have a simple design and no unnecessary details or features. Nothing too extravagant. In fact, their products as well as their marketing remind me much more of the wellness business than the adult industry.

Packaging

Their packaging is absolutely gift-like. No yuck factor, nothing explicit, vulgar or distasteful. Sola is classy, stylish and non-threatening. In fact, their products come in one of the most beautiful boxes I’ve seen lately. Not to mention that there is no disgusting sleazy copy on the box or their website. Somehow I feel the need to mention this because lately we’ve witnessed a number of companies acting like jerks and I am kind of losing my patience. The focus on pleasure is still there, but without rubbing it in your face. Everything you need to know about the product is on the box, in short bullet points.

The box contains everything one will need. I really mean everything. The Sola Egg Massager, its charging dock, the attachments, a user guide, a charging cord AND a wall adapter, as well as a pouch for storage. See? Everything. These days I really appreciate all the details and I have to hi-five companies that walk the extra mile to provide everything you need. The storage bag makes it so easy to keep the toy nice and dust free, and helps you tell it apart from other products in your collection.

Key features

The Bunni Sleeve Sola Egg MassagerThe Sola Egg Massager comes in two versions. The Passion Set has three attachments and that’s the one I am currently reviewing, while The Wellness Set only has two attachments, the original Swedish Sleeve that both sets share (the purple and smooth one) plus the Shiatshu Sleeve. The additional two attachments included with the Passion Set are the Bunni Sleeve and the Omi Sleeve. All of these massager heads are silicone and removable. And I need to highlight how soft and nice their silicone feels against my skin!

The whole toy is entirely water-proof and immersible, which makes it really easy to clean and sanitize, as well as play in the tub with it, if that’s your thing. The Sola Egg Massager is rechargeable and has a battery life of 1.5 hours and 3 hrs full cycle charging time. It also has a travel lock that doubles as speed lock. Since the Sola Massager doesn’t have any “+” or “-” controls, it only responds to pressure; but you can lock it on the desired speed and not worry about the pressure you’re applying.

Using it

I love powerful and strong vibrations. And I hate having the dilemma of how to take a Magic Wand or a Doxy on a trip. Sola Egg is that perfect little sibling of the big wands, it still has the big broad head without sacrificing power or quality. The Sola Egg Massager is like a travel Hitachi. It’s great for anything from a good back massage to shattering clitoral stimulation. At the same time, if you are not a power queen, Sola has delicious low-level vibrations that are rumbly and deep. You can even create patterns by applying different pressure and moving the toy around.

The attachments make it even more versatile, and luckily most Magic Wand attachments work on it great too. Some of the attachments by other brands I had to put over the original Swedish sleeve, others fit right on top of the toy.

The tricky part is that even with the additional attachments the toy doesn’t respond as well to pressure (apart from the Shiatsu sleeve from The Wellness Set). With the Bunni or the Omi sleeves I had to actually press the toy hard with my palm, get to the speed I needed, lock it down, and then move towards playing. Overall, the Sola Egg Massager is responsive but the responsiveness works better with the original sleeve that is flat and has most direct contact with your body.

I am not a huge fan of attachments or vibes like the Bunni sleeve (the pink one with the two ears), because they somewhat don’t work for my clit. But if you like your clit being surrounded by vibration on each side, without any direct contact with the nub of your clit, the Bunni might be just the right thing for you. The Omi sleeve does give a more pinpoint stimulation, and can be used vaginally as well. I am really happy that these are made of silicone and are entirely body-safe because there are plenty of porous wand attachments out there. Having extra sleeves included with the toy makes it much more versatile and interesting for different kinds of stimulation.

Don’t be fooled that the Sola Egg Massager is just a clitoral toy. It’s great for penises, balls and a perineum massage. The Omi sleeve can be used anally as well. And something else I’ve discovered is how well the Hammerhead (or Hummingbird) attachment from Kink Lab works with Sola. The Hammerhead is a penis stroker or masturbator sleeve that transfers the vibrations from the massager. And it fits perfectly on top of the Egg Massager! Which is freaking great, because that gives me (if I am in charge) or the penis-owner much more control and an easier hold, versus using the Magic Wand for this particular job.

Great things about it

As I’ve mentioned, it’s rare that a toy this strong is small and easy to carry with you. In my book that gets a lot of extra points. It also doesn’t look like a sex toy at all, it’s really pretty in it’s charging dock, and it’s just made really well. It delivers that positive overall experience that we’re all seeking from a high-end product. Did I mention that it comes with a 5-year warranty???

Things that need improving

If I were to address a few issues… The noise is less bugging and annoying when the toy is pressed really hard against my body, but if it loses contact for a bit it sounds like a jackhammer (well, maybe not exactly), which is very distracting. And my second beef with it is that it needs a lot of pressure. I would be really happy if it was a little more responsive and required less pressure in order to reach the highest vibration speeds.

Sola Egg Massager Passion Set can be purchased from Shevibe for $119.99 or directly from Sola’s website.

Mystic Wand Rechargeable Review

Mystic Wand Rechargeable Review

My relationship with the Mystic Wand Rechargeable began even before owning one. Years ago I read Epiphora’s review of the Mystic Wand, a small, lighter, battery-operated and cordless cousin of the Hitachi Magic Wand, that she and many others loved. I was always envious of cool US brands that were impossible or difficult to find in Europe. Sure, the Mystic Wand looked ridiculous, as many early Vibratex creations, such as the original Rabbit Habit vibrator. Apparently my patience has been rewarded, because Vibratex finally came up with a rechargeable, non-90’s-looking version of the Mystic Wand.

How is it different than the original one?

Well… as the name suggests it’s rechargeable. No more 4 x AAA batteries. But what’s even more important is that you can use the toy plugged in the outlet. Yes, you can use it while it’s charging! Which isn’t how most rechargeable vibrators work. And I am really grateful for this feature, because I can totally use less “when is it gonna die???” anxiety in my life (which by the way is a real thing). Another thing that’s significantly improved is the design. More ergonomic, more body-friendly, more crip-friendly (and I am throwing myself in this category too, as I suffer from several conditions that make holding an object for extended periods of time painful and sometimes impossible). And as someone pointed out in the comment section of another review of the Mystic Wand Rechargeable, the new shape is great for people with short hands!

Packaging

The Mystic Wand Rechargeable comes in a plain box that doesn’t suggest it’s a sex toy, unless you read the back of the box where the word “lover” will hit you in the face. I am not even going to comment on this horrible copy that is shaming men, scratch that, shaming every human partner, for being bad lovers and calls the toy the best one you can possibly have. Even if a someone thinks that their Hitachi is their ideal boyfriend, there’s a difference between standing up for yourself, knowing what you want and taking care of your own needs, (Yay feminism!) and when a sex toy company is trying to shame your partners for simply not being good enough.

The Mystic Wand Rechargeable comes with a charger, a wall adapter, and an instruction leaflet with pretty much the same copy as the box.

Features

Luckily, once you’re done with the packaging, everything else gets better (I hope you’re one of these people who doesn’t read boxes and instructions and just jumps right at the gadget itself.) The new Mystic Wand is silicone, very soft and nice to touch and it doesn’t look tacky at all (bravo, Vibratex, you’ve learned your lesson). The toy is splash-proof which means that you cannot submerge it in water, but you can briefly wash it. You will only need soap and water to clean the toy, again: I would steer clear of running water directly over the controls. The battery takes between 2 and 3 hrs to charge completely, which will give you 40 to 90 min of play. After that: just plug and play.

Well done, Vibratex, well done!

What I love about it is how travel-friendly it is. It’s 9 inches in total length with a head of 1.9 inches by 2.25 inches. And it’s super light! Tantus-Rumble-light! It doesn’t look like a vibrator, so taking it through security wouldn’t give you too much of a headache and unpleasant interactions with TSA agents.

Mystic Wand Rechargeable ReviewI think they’ve done a really good job in terms of ergonomics. The handle curves towards you, and is easy to hold. What’s interesting is that they’ve added extra controls in 2 other places. You have the main on/off at the front, and you have a button that says “F” (which apparently stands for “function”, not for “fuck”). But at the back of the toy there are two more “F” buttons that do the same, but are located one at the end of the handle, and one closer to the base for your convenience. I think this isn’t a bad idea, because everyone holds their toy in a different way. So far I haven’t had negative experiences of changing the setting by accident. I just wish that with all these buttons, there was one that could take you back in the 3 speeds and 3 patterns. It only goes one way, which means you need to circle through the 6 modes, if you missed your jam.

The neck of the Mystic Wand Rechargeable is just slightly flexible, which works great for me, because it gives me enough pressure, without being too unpleasant and too rigid against my body, given that the head is fairly firm. Other bloggers have reported that they don’t like the ridges and the insane number of seams on the toy. It can certainly get annoying and cleaning can be a huge pain, if you are using lots of lube in your play sessions. The way I use wands and clitoral vibrators is with zero lube, because I actually like a little drag. I like positioning the toy in one place and having it there, while applying different amount of pressure. I can’t come if my clitoral toy is too slippery, it just keeps missing the “right” spot for me, if there’s any lubrication. But I know a number of people who are too sensitive and cannot have any external vibration without lube. Avoid silicone-based lube with this vibrator and stick to a good water-based lube.

At use

The Mystic Wand Rechargeable is fairly rumbly and strong for a light rechargeable toy. It doesn’t have the “umph” of the Magic Wand, or the Doxy, but it is strong enough to please most people. When compared to Tantus Rumble, which also has 3 steady vibration modes and a few patterns, the Mystic Wand Rechargeable is slightly more powerful. The head is also not as wide and broad, which might work for more people, as it gives a good balance between broad and pinpoint vibrations. The vibe is not whisper quiet by any means, but it’s also far from distractingly noisy.

Mystic Wand Rechargeable Review

The toy itself is very gender neutral (and I wish they’d edit the copy, so more penis-owners will embrace it). It’s a great toy for any body and any equipment. My penis-owning partner loves it, because he can’t take more powerful wands, but he likes vibrations a lot. The Mystic Wand Rechargeable provides him with that perfect range of vibrations and speed that is neither “I don’t feel a thing”, not “Ouch, get that thing away from me!”. It feels really great on his balls and on his shaft.

Last words

I was really pleasantly surprised by the Mystic Wand Rechargeable. Despite thinking that it wasn’t powerful enough  at first, after having used it for a while, I now appreciate that it actually has enough power for a number of situations. It’s not heavy and thuddy, but it’s also not meant to be a Magic Wand replacement. It’s a light, travel-friendly, less powerful vibrator, that is probably going to work for more people and more bodies than the Magic Wand or the Doxy. It’s also cheaper than the said toys, and you can get it for $95.95 (available only in black) and free shipping from Good Vibrations.

Good Vibrations constantly run sales and deals and you can find their current promotions either on their website, or in my “SALES” section.
